Long Beach Gives is 2 Days Away!   Join us in supporting Farm to Family and Farm to Food Bank Initiatives.  We need your help to raise $15,000 on September 24th! These funds will support our efforts at Farm Lot 59 to serve those in need through our Farm to Family Program.    Since March we have been making farm fresh meals for the residents at the Elizabeth Anne Seton House. Starting last week we began to serve the people of 14th Street shelter also run by Catholic Charities. These are our neighbors and they are in need of cooked meals, pantry items and fresh organic produce.   We have stepped up our efforts and today we delivered 25 pounds of washed and bagged salad greens. The small amount of what we are able to donate today can easily increase. Our farm averages more than 6 tons of produce a year.    Think what we can do if we have the ability to hire more farmers and grow more food.    Support your local farm and food security in Long Beach.
