Thank you to everyone who donated during our Long Beach Gives campaign. We were able to raise $10,882 from 73 individual donors in just 24 hours. These funds are giving our small farm the power to feed people of our community who can't afford it. We are looking for permanent support so we can feed additional Long Beach community members in need. In this current Covid food economy we have seen many shifts. Restaurants are closed or only offering take out. People who were living on the fringe are now displaced and the unhoused are now further away from stable living. As we move into the cooler season here in Long Beach we will be visualizing what the next few years look like for Farm Lot 59. We would like to ramp up our Farm to Family (new name coming soon) program and make sure more of our neighbors have reliable access to local organically grown food. Thank you for supporting your local farm and food economy. Sincerely, Sasha Kanno & the Farm Lot Crew |

Every Tuesday Chef Eugene delivers the bounty to our neighbors at 14th St. This week we were able to donate fresh sandwiches, boxed lunch including Farm Lot greens and roasted spaghetti squash, 47lbs of squash, 12lbs mixed peppers, 8lbs eggplant, 23lbs washed and bagged salad greens, and 34 floral bouquets. We hope it brought nourishment and joy to our community who needs it most. |
