When I look at this picture from 2013 I see the very first plantings at Farm Lot 59. When we left our property at Wrigley Garden we took with us the little shed (now the office) and the original greenhouse. The greenhouse in this picture was 2.0 after the first was taken down in a windstorm. Beyond the electric fence on the right was our small flock and the vegetable beds began to take shape. Not coming from a farming background, I did my best to research and study everything I could to make this little plot grow. I was hoping to build a space where everyone could come and learn how to live a healthier life and get a first hand experience into farming. So much has changed on the farm but the principles remain the same. We value local agriculture, healthy soils and biodiversity. Thank you for supporting us to continue to do this work for our community. Farmer / Founder Sasha Kanno |
