Farm Boxes Available All of July |

Last week’s Farm Boxes were a huge success! Thanks to all who ordered boxes, we hope you enjoyed your veggies, flowers and herbs. After farmers have discussed and taken account of what is growing on the farm, we have decided to continue to offer Farm Boxes for the rest of the month of July. Pre-sale orders are available in our online shop. We are growing so much on the farm right now and are happy to be able to share the food with our farm community. Thank you all for supporting us during this time by buying a Farm Box. The Farm Box will include mixed summer vegetables, spaghetti squash, heirloom tomatoes, a mix of herbs, a flower bouquet, and apple butter from our apples. Pre-sale only and pick up is at Farm Lot 59 on the farm from 2-6pm on Thursdays. You do not have to commit to the entire month--you can just select the week you want. Contact farmstand59@gmail.com with any questions.

Plant Spotlight: Coreopsis species |
This flower may be just what you need if you’re looking for lasting summer color. Easy to care for, Coreopsis, also called Tickseed, are perennials, but can be treated as annuals. They come in many heights & colors, some have dark centers. A member of the Asteraceae family, the blooms are similar to a daisy. It’s the state wildflower of Florida. Easy to grow coreopsis from seed or cuttings. Grow in full sun. Once they start blooming, remove (deadhead) spent flowers, to keep more coming. They do not need much fertilizer, but they do need regular watering. |
