This summer is flying by, I hope you all had a chance to come join us at one of the volunteer days or community events we held. After 9 seasons I decided to take this summer a little slower and enjoy the beach and camping with friends and family. It was a much needed break from the heat of the farm. We are still in production for our restaurant partners but the weeds and bugs are really starting to take over. I'll be happy for cooler farm days ahead. Here are some dates for Sept & October. Sept 12 - Nov 21 Volunteer with us on Thursdays. 9-2 every Thursday we will be working with our CSULB service learners. Everyone is welcome to join but please no kids on this day. Please arrive on time (if you have to leave early that's ok but we all must start together). You can find out where to park and what to bring here. Sept 21st 9-? Irrigation upgrade with Bill from Netafim and his farming students. Join us for this work day. We will be installing valves and working toward the next step of our irrigation upgrade. Perfect work day if you are interested in learning about water flow rates, and how to install or maintain an irrigation system. Everyone is welcome to this work day. We will be grilling lunch for everyone, bring a pot luck item if you wish. Sept 22nd SAVE THE DATE - Pop-up Sunday Supper dinner at the farm. Chef Alex and our team from Tribe Catering are going to pop-up for a Filipino style meal. We are growing speciality crops just for this dinner. Its going to be amazing. Ticket link will be posted soon. It will sell out because seating is very limited. October 26th - Farm Roast! This is our last party for the year and these Roast events are always so much fun. The Pollen Collective is going to come and play music for you. Our chef line up is growing, names and menu will be posted when we get closer. These Roast events happen twice a year. $5 per person and the door goes to the musicians and 100% of the food purchased goes back to the farm. Please bring a chair, blanket and your own drinks. I hope to see all of y'all soon either on a Thursday work day, Sunday Supper, irrigation install or the Roast. I'll post more saturday's and other work days as they come up. The best way is to follow #farmlot59 hashtag on Instagram. Thanks for all the farm love and have a great end of summer -Sasha Farmer - Founder - Farm Lot 59 |

Electrical and Water Upgrade We are getting closer to having our water main upgraded and electrical installed on the farm. The 2 go hand in hand, can't have new irrigation controls without electrical. Please consider donating to the cause. | | |
